<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect information through a vending machine focusing on the side of consumers who purchase merchandise and to make a new sales analysis based on the obtained information. <P>SOLUTION: A sales analysis method is carried out using a vending machine system constituted to connect a vending machine 100 and an information management server 830 through a network. The vending machine 100 receives a data carrier presented by a user 200, extracts user information, and then transmits sales information including at least the user information and information on the name of sold merchandise and the sales date or a sales place, to the information management server 830. The information management server 830 classifies the sales information for every user and prepares merchandise purchase history information according to users.
