The present invention relates to a device and a method for calculating biological brain age by measuring the brain cortex thickness of each region in a brain MRI image of a person to be inspected and by comparing the brain cortex thickness with normal control group information, the device comprising: an image information input unit for inputting an MRI brain image of a person to be inspected; a brain age calculation control unit for controlling a biological brain age calculation operation of the person to be inspected on the basis of the MRI brain image; a brain thickness measurement unit for measuring the brain cortex thickness of each region in the MRI brain image; and a brain age calculation unit for matching the measured brain cortex thickness with the normal range of brain thickness according to age so as to calculate the biological brain age of the person to be inspected.
