A cutter bar assembly of a harvest header includes longitudinally extending guard fingers which point operatively forward and bristles which sweep back from the guard fingers at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal extension of the guard fingers. Accessories in the form of bristle crop holders are mounted to the guard fingers. The bristle crop holders comprise a body and rearwardly swept bristle fans which extend from the body. The bristle crop holders each include two or more bristle fans which are mounted one behind the other along the body.
