A method and device for confirming a user identity in a VTM system. The method comprises: establishing a user feature information database for confirming a user identity (S101); when a user conducts a remote service over a network, collecting user feature information (S102); comparing the collected user feature information with user feature information in the user feature information database (S103); and if matching, confirming the verification conducted on the collected user feature information (S104). This technical solution can avoid conducting user identity confirmation through an identity card when a user conducts a remote service over a network, thereby avoiding the trouble of carrying the identity card. |
