PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently rotate a rotating drive unit for rotating a rotating body by a change of weight balance without substantially generating noise such as a collision sound.SOLUTION: A rotating drive unit 1 has a rotating body 5 which can rotate with a point O as a center, rotation detection means 6 which can detect a rotation state of the rotating body, six pieces of rotation weight devices 7a to 7f attached to the rotating body 5, and a generator 8 which generates power by the rotation of the rotating body 5. Each of the rotation weight devices 7a to 7f comprises a rotating arm 10 which is rotatably pivoted to a six-point symmetric position with a point O as a center with respect to the rotating body 5, a motor 11 for rotating the rotating arm 10 anti-clockwise at the same speed as that of the rotating body 5, and a weight 12 arranged at a free end side of the rotating arm 10. All the rotation weight devices 7a to 7f are controlled by the motors 11 so that the rotating arms 10 are oriented to a sideway at the same side, and the rotating body 5 is rotated by weight balance with the point O of weight 12 of each rotating arm 10 as a center. |
