PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to visualize on a map the results of numerical calculations using a geographic region and other elements as units without performing cumbersome input operation.SOLUTION: A geographic information system comprises: a zoom operation reception section 1 for receiving, according to a zoom operation of a map, a specification of any of plural layers indicating numerical calculation units based on geographic regions and a layer indicating a numerical calculation unit based on a facility that is an element other than the geographic region; a target data acquisition section 6 for acquiring data specified by a data specification section 5 on the basis of the numerical calculation unit indicated by the specified layer from the calculation target data stored in a calculation target data storage section 13; and a visualization section 7 for performing a predetermined numerical calculation on the acquired data and visualizing and displaying the calculation result on the map. A user only needs to perform zoom operation to specify a layer and then the result of the numerical calculation based on the layer can be visualized and displayed on the map. |
