METAL FOIL WITH RELEASING RESIN LAYER, AND PRINTED WIRING BOARD

Provided is a metal foil with a releasing resin layer, which is provided with a releasing resin layer on at least one surface of a metal foil. The releasing resin layer contains 50-95 parts by mass of (A) a nonpolar resin, 4-40 parts by mass of (B) a thermosetting resin and 1-25 parts by mass of (C) a mold release agent, with the total of the components being 100 parts by mass. The content ratio of the nonpolar resin (A) to the thermosetting resin (B), namely A/B is from 55/45 to 96/4 in terms of mass ratio. This metal foil with a releasing resin layer enables separation between the metal foil and the resin layer at a significantly low peel strength without causing breaking of the releasing resin layer, and has durability capable of withstanding hot pressing.
