An improved turbine or motor, such as a fluid or liquid driven turbine or motor or hydraulic turbine or motor, or downhole turbine which may find use in the oil/gas and geothermal industries. The turbine or motor (5) provides a fluid passage comprising at least one portion or zone arranged to cause a drive fluid to be moved or diverted, such as at least partly radially. The turbine or motor (5) may comprise a rotor (25) comprising at least one rotor blade (15) extending within the fluid passage.
