PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel industrial-scale expression method for producing a recombinant protein.SOLUTION: A method for producing a protein of interest on an industrial scale is based on integration, by homologous recombination, of the DNA encoding the protein of interest into a bacterial cell genome at a pre-selected site. The industrial scale production of recombinant proteins is in the fed-batch mode or semi-continuous mode or in a chemostat.
