PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for setting uplink synchronization in a wireless communication system.SOLUTION: Uplink synchronization setting in a base station which operates a plurality of component carriers comprises a configuration comprising the steps of: setting component carrier aggregation information after the base station performs connection to a user terminal; generating an uplink timing groups in set component carrier aggregation; and transmitting information on the generated uplink timing groups to the user terminal.
