A method and an apparatus for generating a human portrait material image are described, which may include: identifying a human portrait element in a target image that includes a human portrait; searching for a corresponding marked portrait element in a preset portrait material library for the identified human portrait element, where the portrait material library includes a marked portrait element and a portrait material, and a correspondence between the marked portrait element obtained through marking and the portrait material; marking, according to a portrait material corresponding to the found corresponding marked portrait element, a portrait material corresponding to the human portrait element; and generating, according to the marked portrait material corresponding to the human portrait element, a human portrait material image of the target image. |
