FIELD: physics, optics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting radiation to a dental object from pulsed light-emitting diodes (LEDs) through at least one light guide. Each LED (12, 14) is associated with a first light guide (16, 18) having a first and a second interface plane (20, 22, 24, 26). The light guides are directed by their first interface planes towards the corresponding stationary LED. The second interface planes are located on a closed path. The second interface planes (24, 26) are associated with the interface plane (44) of the second light guide (42).
