PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch efficiently acquiring leap second information and being capable of reducing power consumption and of displaying accurate time.SOLUTION: A wrist watch 1 with GPS comprises: a satellite signal reception section 10A receiving a satellite signal; a power source comprising a solar panel 70 and a secondary cell 60; a time information correction section 25 timing time; reception timing determination means 24 activating the satellite signal reception section 10A, causing the satellite signal reception section 10A to receive the satellite signal and acquiring leap second information included in the satellite signal; and reception operation determination means 23 measuring a residual amount of the secondary cell 60. The reception timing determination means 24 increases a reception frequency for receiving the satellite signal in comparison with the case where the residual amount of the secondary cell 60 measured by the reception operation determination means 23 is less than a predetermined value in the case where the residual amount thereof is equal to the predetermined value or more. |
