PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw machine having a simple and compact vent effective for degassing a plastic material.SOLUTION: An apparatus for degassing a plastic material includes a screw machine 3. The screw machine 3 has at least one housing 11, 12 in which a pair of screws 13, 14 are arranged. The pair of screws 13, 14 are connected via their respective shaft connection parts 28, 29 to output shafts 25, 26 with a gear 5 combined. The pair of shaft connection parts 28, 29 are arranged in the interior 27 of a housing 24 of the gear 5. Between the housing 11, 12 and the interior 27 is formed at least one pair of degassing channels 44, 45. Further, at least one gas vent 46 is arranged within the housing 24 of the gear 5, the gas vent 46 being connected to the interior 27. |
