PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate original plate of which the printing durability is favorable, and by which a printed matter of a high picture quality generating no stain on a non-image section, and in addition, which can be made by a scanning exposure based on a digital signal, and also, is excellent in on-machine developing properties. SOLUTION: This lithographic printing plate original plate has an crosslinking hydrophilic layer containing a hydrophilic polymeric compound which has an crosslinking structure, and also, has a hydrophilic graft chain, on a supporting body. Also, the crosslinking hydrophilic layer contains a compound which can form a surface hydrophobic region by heating or the irradiation with a radiation ray. In such a lithographic printing plate original plate, the crosslinking hydrophilic layer is obtained by making the hydrophilic polymeric compound, which has a group being able to react with a crosslinking agent on the major polymer, react with the crosslinking agent. |
