<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which reduces waiting time required for users to cancel errors, and also to provide a resetting method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A digital multifunction machine operates in conjunction with a device 1 and a device 2 having a longer startup time than the device 1. The device is provided with a reset circuit 17 which generates reset signals for restarting the device 1 and the device 2, and a control section 14 which judges whether the digital multifunction machine is under an error state.
