An air interface resource management method and device. The method comprises: a multimedia broadcast/multicast service coordination entity (MCE) receives a report sent by a base station eNB, the report carrying information of Sessions that user equipments (UEs) are interested in; the MCE determines, according to the report, operation of restoring or suspending the Sessions; and the MCE reconfigures air interface resources according to determining results of the operation of restoring or suspending the Sessions. The technical solution provided by embodiments of the present invention is applicable to a multimedia broadcast/multicast service network and achieves optimal utilization of the air interface resources. |
