The present invention provides a client unit communications method and device, the method comprising: a specified client unit updates the client unit information of the specified client unit into a client unit information list; the client unit information list is used for storing the client unit information of all of the client units currently online in the video surveillance system; the specified client unit acquires the client unit information list; the specified client unit communicates, according to the client unit information in the client unit information list, with other client units in the client unit information list, the other client units being all of the client units except for the specified client unit. The present invention solves the problem, in the related art, of client unit data communications in a video surveillance system being conducted in a relatively separated manner; thus a shortcoming of the prior art is resolved and user experience is improved. |
