This method for soft-killing a munition moving in the direction of a naval vessel comprises: a launch step (48), in which a countermeasure is launched from the naval vessel in order to distance the countermeasure from the vessel; and a soft-kill step (52), in which electromagnetic radiation is actively emitted, in at least one jamming mode, via active emitting/receiving means located on-board the countermeasure, in the direction of the munition. The soft-kill step (52) comprises a first soft-kill substep (46) in which electromagnetic radiation is actively emitted, in at least one jamming mode, via the emitting/receiving means, in the direction of the munition, the first soft-kill substep (46) being carried out before the launch step (48). |
