Disclosed are an active hydraulic booster system in a vehicle and a control method thereof. The active hydraulic booster (AHB) system in a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pedal stroke sensor for detecting the pedal stroke of a brake pedal; an AHB ECU for controlling the AHB operation of the AHB system; and an ESC ECU connected to the AHB ECU via network communications, receiving communication data including the stroke information of the brake pedal from the AHB ECU, and conducting a vehicle posture control for adjusting the braking force of a vehicle wheel, wherein AHB ECU compares the pedal stroke value of the brake pedal detected by the pedal stroke sensor with a pedal stroke value included in the communication data transmitted to the ESC ECU and conducts a control for forcefully braking each wheel of the vehicle depending on the result of the comparison. |
