The present invention relates to a microfiltration membrane having high strength and high water permeability, a composition for preparing the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. The microfiltration membrane prepared according to the present invention can easily control vesicles and has outstanding mechanical strength and water permeability, suitable for purifying, reusing, and treating water such as wastewater and ultrapure water as well as for using as a precursor for hollow ultrafiltration membrane. The composition of the microfiltration membrane comprises: 30 to 50 wt% of a polyvinylidene fluorine (PVDF)-based resin; 30 to 50 wt% of γ-butyrolactone; and 10 to 30 wt% of dioctyl phthalate.
