PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a volume of a sealing member as small as possible.SOLUTION: The semiconductor type light source is provided with a substrate 3, semiconductor light emitting elements 40-44, a control unit, a wiring element, a surrounding wall member 18, and a sealing member 180. A shape of an inner circumferential face of the surrounding wall member 18 is a shape based on a reference ellipse A. As a result, a volume of the sealing member 180 can be smaller as compared with a shape of the inner circumferential face of the surrounding wall member 18 having a rectangular shape or a circular shape, and, thereby, a stress of the sealing member 180 can be suppressed as compared with the surrounding wall member 18 having a rectangular inner circumferential face. |
