The invention relates to the by-product coking industry and can be used for the removal and neutralization of gas emissions of coke-pitch ovens. A method comprises removal of gas emissions through the down gates with cutout valves, burning of gas emissions downstream the down gates in the combustion chambers, installed over the down gates, and equipped with the catalytic cap, where the set of gas flow of drawing of pitch coke from the doors of coke-pitch oven into the down gate is provided by rotating bonnets, clarification of the burning products by means of theirs neutralization in the reactor with boiling bed of catalyst with subsequent cooling and removal of neutralized burning products into atmosphere. The use of the invention enables to increase availability and effectiveness of removal and neutralization of gas emissions.
