<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video distribution system for delivering video data regardless of changes in communication state in a network by keeping quality of the video data. <P>SOLUTION: The video distribution system includes a network, a plurality of user terminals 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d connected to the network, and a video distribution server 1. The video data stored in an HDD of the video distribution server 1 includes basic data and interpolation data. In the video distribution server 1, only the basic data is transmitted and distributed in advance to the user terminals 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d through the network. The user terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d acquire interpolation data corresponding to selected basic data of video data from the video distribution server 1 on transmission request.
