<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving inhibition system that urges an abnormal driver to voluntarily stop driving operation by the safest possible method while further surely inhibiting an abnormal driver from driving a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When an abnormality detector 12 detects an abnormality such that a driver is a theft or an alcohol drinker, a headlamp driving circuit 18 gradually reduces brightness of headlamps 20 in the nighttime until the headlamps are turned off. This steadily obstructs driver's visibility, thereby surely inhibiting an abnormal driver from driving a vehicle. The headlamp driving circuit 18 gradually reduces brightness of the headlamps 20 in the nighttime. Therefore, the abnormal driver can safely stop a vehicle by ensuring leeway, which allows the driver to cope with the situation, such as stopping a vehicle at the side of the road while urging the abnormal driver to voluntarily stop driving operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
