Disclosed are a structure for reducing friction and a machine tool including the same, wherein a force necessary for operation is reduced and time for reaction is reduced by reducing friction when the rotating table of the machine tool rotates or a table base moves straight. In a pair of members which are kept in contact with each other and of which one slides relatively with respect to the other, the disclosed structure for reducing friction includes: at least one air discharge hole for discharging compressed air to the other member on a contact surface where one member among the pair of members is in contact with the other member; and at least one closed-curve lubricating groove formed in intaglio in the pattern of a closed curve to envelop the air discharge hole and filled with lubricating oil along the engraved pattern of the closed curve. A vertical force exerted in a vertical direction on the contact surface is reduced as the compressed air discharged through the at least one air discharge hole is detained in the inner region of at least one closed-curve pattern. |
