<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus having an antiglare substrate which contributes to improvement of water resistance of the display apparatus while improving visibility of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus has the display device and the antiglare substrate arranged to face the display device. At an outer surface of the antiglare substrate and on a nearly flat surface, a projecting body of a small circular hill shape is arranged which has an average area between 80 μm<SP>2</SP>and 400 μm<SP>2</SP>at front sight when a surface state is observed by a stylus type surface scanning meter. When the projecting body partitions a glass substrate surface by the size corresponding to a pixel area of a liquid crystal display device, 5 or more projecting bodies are arranged at random in each region, a rugged pattern is formed which has 0.1 to 0.4 μm surface roughness in the surface where the projecting body is arranged. Further the outer surface has excellent water drop holding property and a static contact angle of waterdrop at the outer surface is made to be 80° to 130°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
