A linear ultrasonic motor (100) according to the present invention comprises: a movable part (120) which is linearly driven and includes a vibrator (103) having a piezoelectric element (102) and a pressing part which applies a pressing force to the vibrator to bring the vibrator into contact with a base part (115); and a cover (112) which is fixed to the base part (115) via fixing parts (114b-1, 114b-2) extending in a direction intersecting with the moving direction of the movable part (120), and receives a reaction force from the pressing force through rolling parts (111a, 111b, 111c). The rolling parts (111a, 111b, 111c) are sandwiched between guide parts (110a, 110b, 110c) in the movable part (120) extending in the moving direction of the movable part (120) and cover guide parts (112a, 112b, 112c) in the cover part (112) extending in the moving direction of the movable part (120). When the movable part (120) is located at one moving end, a guide part (110a, 110b, 110c) in the movable part (120) is located outward of the side of a fixing part (114b-1, 114b-2) facing the movable part (120). |
