When regenerative control, wherein the coil driving current of a fuel injection valve is reduced sharply, is executed, and when there is a delay time in the rise of the regenerative current, an injector driver control means may detect a low regenerative current during this delay time, and determine that the regenerative current has stopped flowing, and therefore end the sharp reduction operation early, with the result that the desired sharp reduction operation is not executed. In the present invention, increases and decreases in the regenerative current are detected regardless of a delay time, and when the decreasing regenerative current falls below a prescribed value a determination is made that regenerative control has ended, and the injector is returned to normal control.
|
