<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in recent years, many articles such as convenient cooking apparatus, and seasonings are placed in the vicinity of a buffet in a kitchen, and in many cases, the putting place for a pot lid is hard to find when cooking is performed under this state, and when the boiling degree of hot water is checked in the cooking process, the pot lid is opened and closed, and that the pot lid is occasionally dropped resulting from the boiling over, and the primary problem is a difficulty in finding the putting place for the pot lid. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge body is fitted in a cylinder and on a shaft. The shaft has a plurality of recess sections (a protruding section at least at one location in the axial direction) in the axial direction on the circumference. On the cylindrical body, protuberances (a plurality of recesses) which elastically engage with the installed recess sections are installed. A slit in the axial direction is installed at one location on the cylindrical body. An elastic section is installed on the cylindrical body at least in one direction being separated by the slit. One side of the hinge having the shaft section (while the cylindrical body is an elastic body) is fixed to the pot, and the other side of the hinge having the cylindrical body is fixed to the lid. Thus, the lid and the pot are freely openably/closably fitted.
