A controlling method of a display protecting cover is provided to be automatically opened when a display is actuated even though a command for opening/closing the cover is not received, and to be automatically closed when the display device is turned off, thereby enabling simple operation through one command. A command is received from a remote controller. When a power on/off command of a display device is received, it is confirmed whether a protecting cover is opened or closed by a sensor. In case of an opened state, the cover is operated in closed state and driven in opened state if in closed state. If a separate opening/closing command is received to drive the cover, it is confirmed whether the cover is opened or closed by the sensor. If the cover is opened, the cover is operated in closed state. |
