An air-bag device (1) includes an air bag (40) stored in an inner side (22) of a backrest (14) in a vehicle width direction, and an inflator (30) that inflates and expands the air bag (40). The air bag (40) includes a first chamber (41) that houses the inflator (30) such that the longitudinal direction of the inflator (30) matches the vertical direction of the air bag (40), and a second chamber (42) that is located above the first chamber (41) and is inflated and expanded by a gas ejected from an upper end of the inflator (30) to form a tubular shape extending upward above the first chamber (41). |
