The present invention relates to a Korean character learning device using motion recognition and a method thereof. More specifically, the device recognizes the hand movement of a user through an infrared camera, extracts a command corresponding to the recognized hand movement to execute the extracted command, outputs Korean characters to a screen when a learning initiation option is selected, and outputs a learning execution result as a screen or a voice according to whether the recognized hand motion in correspondence with the output Korean characters and the output Korean characters match or not. The present invention enables the user to draw in the air by using the movement of the hand including fingers while watching the vowels and consonants of the Korean characters output to the screen and provides the learning result and whether the answers are correct or not as an image or a voice, thereby arousing interest in learning Korean characters for infants and children and enabling effective learning thereof. |
