<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which design freedom is restricted because an anvil receives too large operation force in punching paper and large stress acts on boundary parts between a member on a side supporting the anvil and a member on a side supporting a punching blade and a cutting blade.SOLUTION: In a binding machine 1, paper sheets P are disposed into a paper insertion clearance sk formed between an anvil 5, and a punching blade 42 and a cutting blade 43. The punching blade 42 and the cutting blade 43 are moved in the anvil 5 direction to penetrate the paper sheets P. By cooperation of the punching blade 42, the cutting blade 43 and the anvil, a punched hole P1, a cut hole P2, and a raised piece P5 are formed in the paper sheets P to bind the paper sheets P. The anvil 5 has a reinforcement part 52 with a shape surrounding at least a back region sk1 of the clearance sk, and at least a part of the reinforcement part 52 is engaged with a member on a side supporting the punching blade 42 and the cutting blade 43.</p> |
