<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation of a pressure contact part when being attached to an internal combustion engine, and to prevent degradation in air-tightness. <P>SOLUTION: A glow plug 1 includes: a housing 2 having a shaft hole 7 extended in an axial CL1 direction and provided with a screw part 8 for being screwed with an attachment hole HO of the internal combustion engine EN on its outer circumferential surface; a ceramic heater 4; and an outer tube 5 fixed to a front end of the housing 2 to hold the outer circumference of the ceramic heater 4, in an inner circumference of the outer tube. The outer tube 5 has a pressure contact part 8C formed of stainless steel and is pressure-welded to a tapered seat TS of the internal combustion engine NE when the screw part 8 is screwed with the attachment hole HO of the internal combustion engine NE, and at least a surface located on an inner circumference side of the pressure contact part 8C of the outer tube 5 is closely attached to the outer circumferential surface of the ceramic heater 4. The outer tube 5 has a friction force reduction means for reducing friction force produced between the tapered seat TS and the pressure contact part 8C when the screw part 8 is screwed with the attachment hole HO of the internal combustion engine EN. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
