The present invention relates to an air conditioner capable of effectively detecting snow on an outdoor unit. The air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main body of an outdoor unit; an outdoor unit fan included in the main body of the outdoor unit to make outer air flow; a discharge hole formed on the upper surface of the main body of the outdoor unit to discharge the outer air made to flow by the outdoor unit fan; a discharge grill combined with the upper surface of the main body of the outdoor unit and arranged above the discharge hole to protect the outdoor unit fan; and multiple linear electrodes arranged above the discharge grill to measure capacitance therebetween.
