Disclosed is a self-assembling diblock copolymer of chemical formula (i): wherein r1-r4, n, and m are as described in the specification, which find use in preparing a self-assembled structure and a porous membrane. Embodiments of the self-assembled structure contain the diblock copolymer in a cylindrical morphology. Also disclosed is a method of preparing such a copolymer. |
