摘要 The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a plastic orthodontic device. According to the present invention, the method includes the following steps: a) obtaining a 3D dentition image data set of the dentition in a series of orthodontic steps; b) manufacturing a base mold having a shape included in an area which is a zone of intersection of the 3D dentition image data set of dentition; c) using a 3D printer to print a part corresponding to the difference between the dentition shape in one step included in the 3D dentition image data set and the shape of the base mold onto the base mold on a three-dimensional basis to manufacture a dentition mold corresponding to the step; d) thermally shaping a plastic sheet by using the dentition mold to manufacture the plastic orthodontic device having a cavity in the dentition shape; e) using the 3D printer to remove the 3D print part from the dentition mold; and f) repeating step c) to step e) in order to manufacture a series of plastic orthodontic device sets. The method uses the base mold to manufacture the dentition molds in order to minimize the amount of resins being used, thereby minimizing the manufacturing costs of the mold and the plastic orthodontic device sets.
