<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool having a depth control function, and capable of suppressing the influence on the depth control affected by noises generated with AC power. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool 1 includes: a rectifier circuit 10 to which the AC power is supplied; a motor 5 for driving a drilling bit 15 extending in a drilling direction to drill a workpiece W to be drilled; an ultrasonic sensor 13 for sending an ultrasonic wave in the drilling direction and receiving a reflected wave reflected by the workpiece W to measure a distance to the workpiece W; and a control circuit 7 for controlling the timing at which the ultrasonic sensor 13 sends the ultrasonic wave so that the ultrasonic sensor can receive the reflected wave at timing shifted from a first predetermined period centered on the peak of the AC power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
