PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency processor which can be properly used by both a normal register and a self-register.SOLUTION: Currency processors 100 and 200 include: depositing parts 101 and 201 for throwing currency; conveyance parts 103 and 203 for conveying currency thrown to the depositing parts 101 and 201; identification and counting parts 104 and 204 for identifying and counting the currency thrown to the depositing parts 101 and 201; and storage parts 106 and 206 for storing the currency conveyed by the conveyance parts 103 and 203. The currency processors 100 and 200 include at least control parts C1 and C2 for controlling the currency processors 100 and 200 in a first processing mode for identifying and counting the currency thrown from the depositing parts 101 and 201 by the identification and counting parts 104 and 204 during standby or a second processing mode for forcedly returning the currency thrown to the depositing parts 101 and 201 during standby. The currency processors 100 and 200 can be switched between the first processing mode and the second processing mode. |
