PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dumper housing for a vehicle, which has high strength despite its lightweight and, moreover, has a high degree of freedom in shape.SOLUTION: A dumper housing 21 supporting load input from the dumper of a front suspension comprises: a press-molded part 31 obtained by press working a metal plate; and a cast part 32 obtained by casting aluminum so as to cast at least part of the press-molded part 31, and fixed to a vehicle body. The wall thickness of the cast part 32 is greater than the wall thickness of the press-molded part 31. Therefore, a less-stress portion is composed of the press-molded part 31 and the wall thickness of it is reduced. Accordingly, compared to a case where the entire dumper housing 21 is integrally cast, weight is reduced, at the same time, the fluidity of aluminum molten during cast is ensured, and degradation in castability due to thinning can be avoided. Furthermore, by sharing cast, the degree of freedom in shape can be increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
