A method for estimating arrival time of a transportation means is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: measuring travel times of a transportation means with respect to a predetermined section using location information of the transportation means; calculating travel times in accordance with a moving average, exponential smoothing, and a service pattern of transportation means with respect to the predetermined section using the measured travel times of the transportation means; calculating an error value between the measured travel time with respect to the predetermined section depending on the travel time, the moving average, the exponential smoothing, and the service pattern of a first transportation means; and estimating travel time of a second transportation means with respect to the predetermined section based on the calculated error value. |
