<p>An adapter 20 for inserting a sample container e.g. a blood bag 11 in a centrifuge bucket (40), comprises a bucket-like base body (21, fig 1), which delimits a cavity (25, fig 1) for accommodating said sample container 11 and has a bottom region 24 and an adjoining side wall region (22, fig 1), the top edge of which defines an opening edge 27 of said cavity (25, fig 1), and an insertion opening 26, through which said sample container 11 can be inserted in said cavity (25, fig 1) and which is delimited by said opening edge 27. At least one separation joint 23 is present in said side wall region (22, fig 1) of said base body (21, fig 1), which separation joint 23 extends from said opening edge 27 in the direction towards said bottom region 24 and which allows for expanding said side wall region (22, fig 1) from a starting position (P1, fig 1) to an expanded position P2 by applying a force in such a way that said opening edge 27 has a larger circumference as compared to the starting position (P1, fig 1). The side wall area 22 has two edge regions (220, 221, fig 1) separated from each other by said separation joint 23, which at least in the starting position (P1, fig 1) lie one above the other radially and overlap in the circumferential direction (U, fig 1), thus forming an overlap region 222.</p> |
