摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an air flow passing through a CPU heat sink according to a CPU temperature and improve efficiency of a FAN rotation frequency to attain power saving and silencing, in a multiprocessor server.SOLUTION: A multiprocessor server changes the shape of a heat sink and controls a passing air flow according to a CPU temperature by using a bimetal for the heat sink. The air flow decreases as a CPU heat sink at a low temperature has a shape that wind is hard to pass through, on the other hand, the air flow increases as the CPU heat sink at a high temperature has a shape that wind is easy to pass through. A CPU temperature, a necessary air flow and a heat sink passage rate, which are preliminarily calculated in designing a device, are stored in a storage device of a FAN controller, an optimal FAN rotation frequency is calculated, and efficiency of a FAN rotation frequency is improved.
