<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric razor with a structure contributing to increasing the moving width of reciprocating linear motion of a moveable blade and reducing the size of a case. <P>SOLUTION: The electric razor 1 has a cylindrical body case 10A, an electric motor 21 stored in the cylindrical body case 10A, a conversion mechanism 30 for converting the rotation of the electric motor 21 to reciprocating linear motion, the moveable blade 64 carrying out the reciprocating linear motion in association with the conversion mechanism 30, and a fixed blade 65 formed with a slit 65A facing the moveable blade 64. The direction of the reciprocating linear motion of the moveable blade 64 intersects the longitudinal direction of the slit 65A.
