<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety door device for a molding machine, the device that can be implemented at low cost and facilitates replacement of an existing door body. <P>SOLUTION: A safety door device 5 comprises a door body 21, rail members 25, 26 guiding the door body 21 in a prescribed opening and closing direction, and a connection member 23 connecting the door body 21 to the rail members 25, 26. As the rail members 25, 26, plated steel plates which have been worked into prescribed shapes are used.
