PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable connection type handrail device capable of sliding with reducing friction.SOLUTION: A side surface part 22 of an upper cross rail 12 and a side surface part 22 of a handrail body 11 facing to the side surface part 22 are coupled with each other as slidable by a longitudinal direction slide mechanism 35 which comprises a concave engagement part 23 and a convex engagement part 31 engaging with the concave engagement part 23. The convex engagement part 31 includes a wide width part 33 which is provided at the tip side of a base end part 32 and is wider than the base end part 32, and, an inner surface 22U of the side surface part 22 which engages with the wide width part 33 to prevent omission of the wide width part 33 is provided at the concave engagement part 23. Since, at the tip side of the wide width part 33, a guide roller 70 which rolling-moves to the concave engagement part 23 is provided, friction resistance upon sliding can be mitigated by the guide roller 70. When the spacing between hand rail bodies 10, 11 displaces from a state of being widened so that the spacing is shrunk, the guide roller 70 rolling-moves to a concave place 25, and the direction can be switched smoothly. |
