The present invention relates to a method for separating hydrogen from a flow of oxygen-containing gas consisting of hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, monoxide, methane, and/or other hydrocarbon, and to an apparatus for performing the method. Gas flow passes through a process for thermally converting oxygen before a pressure swing adsorption process. According to the present invention, risk related to safety can be minimized by avoiding formation of an explosive gas mixture composed of hydrogen and oxygen in the pressure swing adsorption process. |
