PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid automobile that can exert moderate braking force while suppressing an excessive rise of SOC of a battery when inertially travelling in a sequential mode.SOLUTION: A hybrid automobile, which is equipped with an engine and a rotary electric machine as driving sources, when performing inertial travelling in which an accelerator is turned off in a sequential mode where a driver can select virtual gear positions, raises rotation speed of the engine and reduces regenerative amounts of the rotary electric machine as the gear positions are set lower, and sets variation amounts of braking torque which is outputted to a driving shaft by regeneration of the rotary electric machine accompanying change of the gear positions smaller than variation amounts of the braking torque which is outputted to the driving shaft by the rotation of the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
