A shower enclosure frame 1 comprises a wall profile 5 for mounting on a wall and an upright profile 3 for mounting on the wall profile. The wall profile 5 comprises an elongate transverse slot 6 formed therein, and in which there is provided a releasable locking mechanism, part of which passes through the slot, to releasably secure the upright profile and the wall profile in a fixed relationship with respect to each other. The locking mechanism comprises a first part 7 operable to engage the upright profile and a second part 9 operable to engage the wall profile and selectively interlock with the first part. The first part comprises a resiliently deformable toothed insert 10 to engage the upright profile. The second part 9 comprises a complementary toothed track 13 mounted on the wall profile. A locking arm 17 brings the toothed insert and the toothed track into locking engagement with each other, wherein the locking arm comprises a wedge 19, 21 operable to engage and deform the toothed insert. |
